Ross County Football Club are delighted to announce that Matthew Wright and Thomas Brady, both 16, have signed their first professional contracts with the club. The pair have signed two-year Modern Apprenticeships.
Forward, Wright, is from Stornoway. Since joining the Ross County Football Club Academy in March 2017 he has been travelling from the Western Isles with his parents in order to participate in Youth games. He has now relocated to Dingwall.
Midfielder, Brady, joined the RCFC Academy in August 2016 after his family relocated to Inverness.
Speaking about the signings, Reserve Team Manager, Richard Brittain said: “It’s great to get Matthew and Thomas signed up and yet again we are delighted to see our Academy producing two quality players that have came through our system to earn full-time contracts at the club.
"Matthew and Thomas are both very talented players who have featured for our Academy teams and who have made the step up to featuring for our Reserve team in recent months. Going full-time at the club offers both boys a fantastic opportunity to learn their trade and develop as players. They will hopefully follow in the footsteps of the likes of Tom Grivosti, Tom Kelly, Ross MacIver, James Wallace and Mark Gallagher who have all come up through the Academy and made their first team debuts over the past couple of weeks."
