ACADEMY U13s player Bodhan Campbell to run Inverness Half Marathon 5K Fun Run for ARCHIE Foundation

U13s Academy player, Bodhan Campbell, is readying himself to run the Inverness Half Marathon 5K Fun Run on Sunday March 10 alongside sisters Aela, 9, and Amalie, 5.

The 11-year-old had hoped to raise £250 for the official charity of the Highland Children’s Unit but has more than doubled his target with funds exceeding £700.

Bodhan was admitted to the special care unit in Raigmore Hospital shortly after he was born and has recently spent time within the Highland Children’s Unit.

His Dad, Alan, saw the event as a way to give back to those who helped care for his son throughout his time in hospital: “While we were at the special care unit we received amazing medical attention and care. We also saw the work of all the staff there and the incredible job they do.

“Bodhan has been attending the children’s unit at Raigmore Hospital for the last two years.

“It has been a really difficult time, but we have received invaluable care, so supporting The ARCHIE Foundation seemed like a fitting way to say thank you.

“When you have children you never know what’s around the corner and when you might need the help and support of children’s healthcare.

“Bodhan plays for Ross County in the under 13s Youth Academy, so he is hoping for a fast time!

“Aela and Amalie are just hoping to run really fast and enjoy their day.

“We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of family and friends and we’d like to say thank you to them too.”

Dawn Cowie, fundraising co-ordinator for The ARCHIE Foundation said: “We are absolutely delighted that Bodhan and his family have chosen to support ARCHIE.

“We hope Bodhan and his sisters have a great time at the run.

“Whatever time they achieve – they are all stars in our eyes.”
