Ross County Football Club would like to congratulate Scott Boyd who recently became our record appearance holder.
Scott played his 288th game for the Club against Ayr United in the League Cup Second Round on August 25. He has been with the Club since 2007 when he joined from Partick Thistle Football Club when Ross County were in the old Second Division. He has grown with the Club and been an integral part of the teams that won the Second Division; went on a 40-game unbeaten run as we won the First Division; got to the final of the Scottish Cup; and he has played – and continues to play – a vital part in Club’s new chapter in the top flight.
Speaking about the the milestone, Ross County Chairman, Roy MacGregor, said: "Scott will have been at the Club for a decade when his current contract comes to an end. He is an extremely popular figure with both supporters and staff at the Club and a credit to it so I am sure you will join me in congratulating him and his family on a fantastic achievement. Here's wishing him many more appearances in dark blue."
