On Thursday the 11th of December Ross County Football Club and Torridon will officially launch the new club song, "The Jailender Song" and we want you to be there!
Ross County will be one of the very few Football Clubs who have had a song written for them which tells a club story from a fans perspective.
It all kicks off at 7pm at Dingwall Town Hall and is certain to be a special and unique evening! You'll have the chance to snap up your CD copy of the song and enjoy a live performance from Torridon. Not only that but you'll have the chance to meet Callum MacDonald of Runrig fame who very kindly wrote the song for us! The entertainment will conclude at 10pm. Other entertainment will be laid on and there will be an opportunity to meet staff and players.
Entry is free, although donations can be made on the night to the Ross County Youth and Community programme.
This is a night for Staggies fans not to miss! The song will be launched on iTunes on Monday 8 December!
"As an event that is deeply rooted in the Highland community itself, Bella is proud to be a sponsor of the recording of a song for Ross County Football Club which, as an institution, has also been a great exemplar of community involvement," said Joe Gibbs, promoter, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival
Roy MacGregor, Club Chairman commented “This is a catchy song and the lyrics tell a story about a young Staggie growing up as a Jailender and the remarkable Ross County journey. The song will become part of our culture and is central to ongoing changes at the club”.
