COSTA DAURADA CUP 2018 Round-up of the U14s and U16s recent trip to Spain

This year the Under 14 and Under 16 teams returned to Spain over Easter to take part in the Costa Daurada Cup for the third year running.

Both teams enjoyed mixed success with the under 14 team winning the Consolation Cup when they defeated Angora Kke from San Sebastian 1–0 in the final. The winning goal was well worked and finished off by Ross Hardie.

The boys thoroughly deserved their victory against a very competent and dangerous team and it was great to see every player who travelled play their part in winning the game.

The under 16 team were very unfortunate to lose 1–0 in the semi-final with the games on the Saturday being cancelled due to dangerously strong winds and this most certainly affected the draw into the semi-final.

Like the under 14 team, all the under 16s players contributed well with lots of game time for them all. The effort from both teams and their coaches was there for all to see and the experience gained by both players and coaches will prove invaluable going forward.

The boys were an absolute credit to both the club and their families.
