Woods in, Bachmann out at Ross County
(Subject to international clearance) Ross County Football Club are delighted to announce that Martin Woods has joined the Club from League One Shrewsbury Town FC. Woods, who has had his contract at Shrewsbury terminated by mutual consent, has joined Ross County on a permanent two year contract with the option for a third year.
“We are delighted to have signed Martin Woods on a permanent deal just before the end of the transfer window,” said Ross County manager, Jim McIntyre. “Martin was instrumental in the great run of form that this Club enjoyed in the second half of last season so we know what he is capable of and it is great news to have been able to get him back to the Club on a long-term contract.
“When we learned Martin would be open to a move back to Scotland we didn’t hesitate in putting a deal in place for him,” added McIntyre. “Martin will add more quality and bring competition for places to the squad and I know he is looking forward to coming back to Dingwall on a permanent deal. I’m sure the fans will also be looking forward to seeing him in action again at the Global Energy Stadium.”
Martin Woods joined Ross County in October 2014 as new manager, Jim McIntyre’s first signing. He went on to make 26 appearances for the Club, scoring twice.
Ross County Football Club have also announced that loanee, Daniel Bachmann, has returned to his parent club, Stoke City FC with immediate effect. Goalkeeper Bachmann’s loan has been terminated with mutual consent and the Club thanks him for his contribution and wishes him well in his career.
Meanwhile, Kyle MacLeod’s loan agreement with Elgin has been extended until January. Kyle is still training with Ross County through the week as well as with Elgin.
