Ross County Football Club are delighted to have this week signed three new players to its championship-winning Development Squad. Former Rangers FC midfielder, Max Ashmore (19), former Bury FC striker, Nathan Turner (18), and former Falkirk defender, Kyle Johnson (19), have all inked one-year deals.
Speaking about the trio, Development Squad manager, Stuart Kettlewell said: ”I’m delighted to get Kyle, Max and Nathan on board. They all came up on trial and impressed me not only with their quality of play but also the types of characters they are and the desire they showed to come and play with the club. It's important with what we have achieved in the last few seasons that we maintain and look to improve on our levels of performance and professionalism. In turn, I believe these three lads will contribute towards that.
"I would also like to compliment the continued excellent work that is being done within our youth Academy that has allowed us to promote five players from last season’s under 17s squad (Tom Kelly, Jack Murray, Joel Macbeath, Ben Johnstone and Mark Gallagher) and offer them two-year Modern Apprenticeship deals. Myself and Steven Ferguson are delighted as it shows a pathway through our youth system and sets a bench mark for others to follow.”
