MATCH PREVIEW Ross County FC v Carlisle United FC

This Saturday will be the last opportunity to see the Staggies before they embark on their Premiership campaign. Carlisle United travel north for a pre-season friendly that has all the makings of a great game.

Ross County go in to the game having completed 4 wins from 4 matches in the group stage of the Betfred Cup. After a 4-1 win over Montrose, it was a 4-0 victory over Brechin, 2-1 away at St Johnstone and last night a 2-0 win over Forfar Athletic.

Coming out of last night’s match relatively unscathed, there are no new injury worries for the Staggies. With a Brian Graham double in the win over Forfar, it does however leave the management with a slight headache over which strikers to put out in the Starting XI.

English League Two side Carlisle United are managed by a familiar face. Former Hearts & Celtic defender Steven Pressley is in the dugout for the Cumbrians these days and will be setting his sights on a promotion challenge to League One this season.

There is Scottish football experience in the Carlisle ranks. Stefan Scougall and Jack Iredale both names that have played in the top two divisions in Scotland. Amidst the preparations for their new campaign, manager Pressley has made it no secret he is still looking for new additions to his squad after losing key players in the Summer window.

Admission Prices are – Adults £10.00, Concessions £5.00 and Under 12’s GO FREE!
