It is with great pleasure that we can tonight announce that our U16 player James Graham has received a call up to a Scotland U16 training camp next week.
James, a striker from the Isle of Lewis has been a vital player in the youth teams here in Dingwall in recent times. As well as appearing for his U16 team at County he has also featured in a range of U18 matches for the club. James will join up with the Scottish National U16 squad next Monday (5th Aug) for 3 days, which will feature two training matches for the team.
Ross County are incredibly proud of James and wish him every success on what will hopefully be the first of many national team call ups for the striker. On the news Club Chairman, Roy MacGregor said “It speaks volumes of firstly, James himself, in his ability, and secondly of the coaching staff here that have worked hard with him. James’ commitment to our club is nothing short of remarkable when you consider the travel from Lewis, getting to games and putting in the level of performances he does. It just reminds us all about why we want to have such a strong youth department and the opportunity we can provide for young people at Ross County. This news will see us try and push further in our commitment to youth development right across the Highlands & Islands.”
Also, Head of Professional Development and Reserve Team Manager, Richie Brittain said “James is a fantastic talent. Although he isn’t here full time he works incredibly hard to be at his best and this call up is merit for his dedication and commitment. I’m sure I echo everybody at the club when I say how great it is for both James and the club but more importantly how he goes and enjoys what is going to be an incredible experience for him and hopefully the first of many more to come.”
