Acting as assistant to Jim McIntyre since September 2014, striker, Dodds, enjoyed an illustrious playing career that saw him feature for Chelsea, Partick Thistle, Dundee and St Johnstone. He is perhaps most well known for his spells at Dundee United, Aberdeen and Rangers which saw him earn 26 Scotland caps, scoring seven times for the national senior side.

Dodds is a two-time League Cup winner as a player and has also lifted the Scottish Cup as well as picking up a League-winners medal in his time at Rangers. He moved into coaching first with a role at Queen of the South, later becoming Dundee assistant manager in March 2010.
