A Leicester City trainee, Northern Ireland striker Mckay, made a permanent move to Northampton Town in 2009 but it was his four-season spell at Inverness Caledonian Thistle that really put the young striker on the map. Notching virtually a goal every other game, Mckay was prolific for ICT and earned his first senior call up to the Northern Ireland team in 2013 as well as a high profile move to Championship side Wigan Athletic in 2015.

Loan spells at Dundee United, Oldham Athletic and back in Inverness characterised Mckay’s spell at the Lancashire club with the player hampered by a niggling injury. Now signed for the Staggies and back to full fitness Mckay looks back to his best.
