Akio joins The Staggies

William Akio has today become Ross County’s 10th summer signing.
Joining on a three-year deal from Canadian Premier League side Valour FC, we are delighted to add the exciting 23-year old attacker to our ranks.
William signed his first professional contract with Valour FC in May 2021 and in his time with the Canadian Premier League club, Akio would score 10 goals in 43 games as well as providing a strong number of assists across the season.
Akio has recently been capped by South Sudan at International level following his impressive performances at club level. He is also the brother of County midfielder Victor Loturi.
On bringing Akio to Dingwall, Malky Mackay said, “William is a player we have been tracking for a number of months and we are delighted to bring him to Dingwall. He has performed consistently and regularly at Valour FC and although he is still learning, he is an exciting addition to our group.”
