Match Preview | Dundee (H)

21/02/2025

Ross County are back on home soil this weekend, looking to build on a fantastic away win against Motherwell. Kick-off is 3PM for this William Hill Premiership match.

Ross County

The Staggies currently sit in 10th place in the league, two points clear of Saturday's visitors Dundee. We come into the game in a positive mood given the result and performance at Fir Park last Saturday. With the table so tight currently, a positive result could see us end the day as high as sixth position.

With four wins from our last five on the road, the Staggies will be keen to return to winning ways on home soil, having not won at the Global Energy Stadium since a win over Motherwell in mid-November.

Player to Watch: Noah Chilvers

Noah comes into this in a real vein of form, picking up an assist in last Saturday's match against Motherwell. The creative midfielder who joined from Colchester United in the summer has won back to back Supporters' Club Player of the Month awards and is finding his rhythm in the Scottish game.

With two goals and five assists to his name so far this campaign, Noah will be keen to continue his positive form into an important run of game for the Staggies.

Dundee

The Dens Park side have had a intriguing campaign so far, having scored the most goals outwith the Old Firm but also having conceded the most in the division. Managed by Tony Docherty, they currently sit in 11th place, albeit only four points off the top six.

The Dee have lost three and drawn two of their past five league matches.

Player to Watch: Simon Murray

The Staggies support know all about the danger that Simon Murray poses with the striker having netted 23 times last season for Ross County. He has netted eight times in the league so far this campaign for his new side.

He offers a real threat to defenders with his constant workrate and lethal finishing.

Previous Encounters

The Staggies have had only positive results when facing Dundee this season.

In our first meeting at the Global Energy Stadium this campaign we came out 2-0 winners with goals from Akil Wright and Jordan White. Jordan was also on the scoresheet in the return fixture as we came out 3-0 winners at Dens Park. Noah Chilvers and Josh Nisbet were also on the scoresheet that day.
