19/12/2023
Ross County Football Club was delighted to visit and deliver presents to the Raigmore Hospital Children’s Unit, which is supported by the Archie Foundation.
First-team players Jack Baldwin, Connor Randall, Jordan White, Yan Dhanda, Kyle Turner, Ben Purrington, Jay Henderson, Max Sheaf, Simon Murray and Josh Sims visited the ward on Monday afternoon to deliver gifts to those in the ward and chat with children, parents and staff
The club would like to thank the Archie Foundation for helping make this visit possible.
Zoe Grant, regional fundraising officer at The Archie Foundation, said: “Christmas is a busy time of year, and for the babies, children and families supported by The Archie Foundation, it can be a really tough time, especially if they are in hospital during the festive season.
“It’s easy for the children to feel like they are missing out. They know that siblings and friends are likely to be enjoying school shows and Christmas parties.
“That’s why things like the visit from the Ross County players are so special. We really appreciate the players taking the time to visit the Highland Children’s Unit to spread some festive cheer. It was great to see the excitement on the children’s faces today.”
Ross County Football Club CEO, Steven Ferguson, added: "Christmas can be a tough time for people, especially if circumstances dictate that they can’t take part in the events and excitement in the build-up. A small thing like a visit from our players is something we hope can help make times like this easier for the children and their families."
‘We hope that this visit has helped to put a smile on the faces and bring some festive cheer to all those in the ward."
