First team
St Johnstone v Ross County | Match Preview
06/04/2023
Following on from last weekend's defeat to Celtic, The Staggies will be looking to bounce back and get points on the board as we edge closer and closer to the split.
TEAM NEWS
Ross Callachan suffered a ruptured ACL in Sunday's game against Celtic. Gwion Edwards is awaiting assessment following Sunday's game against Celtic. Some positive news on Yan Dhanda with him being out of the protective boot following his foot injury, this weekend however is likely to come too soon for Yan.
TALE OF THE TAPE
So far this season, we have faced St Johnstone twice. Our first meeting of the season at Mcdiarmid Park ended in a goalless draw with the return fixture in December finishing 2-1 to St Johnstone following a quickfire double from Ali Crawford. In our previous 3 visits to Mcdiarmid Park, the honours have been split, with a win, a draw and a loss for The Staggies.
THE OPPOSITION
Following on from a narrow defeat to Aberdeen last weekend, Callum Davidson's side will be looking to bounce back and move clear of the battle at the bottom of the table. The Perth side currently sit 8th in the table, 4 points ahead of Kilmarnock. Andy Considine will be suspended for this one as he was sent off last week against Aberdeen.
