The Staggies partner with HALO for upcoming Ladies Day

06/02/2025

Ross County FC are delighted to confirm local charity, Highland Action for Little Ones (Halo), will be our partners for this years 'Ladies Day' which takes place on 1st March at our home match against Kilmarnock.

Halo was founded in December 2022 by Mel Thomson and her daughters Ashley and Lauren, after seeing a social media post by a struggling Mum, asking to borrow some baby formula.

This award-winning charity supports children and families in the Highlands through a referral system. Referrals come from Social Services, Schools, Child Health Teams and other charities and support agencies, requesting items and clothing for families they are supporting. Halo volunteers put together care packages with every item requested, including cots/prams/nappies and anything else the family needs.

Powered by volunteers, they receive no statutory funding and rely on the generosity of the local community and businesses for donations. In the last 24 months, they have supported over 2,600 children right across the Highlands from Dalwhinnie to Thurso, Skye and everywhere in between.

They are a lifeline for many families who are struggling with the cost of living crisis and they believe that Every Child Deserves to Thrive.

Ross County Head of Commercial, Dunc Chisholm commented, 'We are delighted to partner with HALO for our upcoming Ladies Day. They do fantastic work in our communities across the Highlands and we hope that the Ladies Day can help to raise some vital funds to allow them to continue their work. Our Ladies Day is sold out again this year which is testament to the local business sector who continue to support the club, charity and the day.'

There will be bucket collections located around the ground on the day for the charity.
