It’s a busy day at the Global Energy Stadium as signing number two comes through the door. Welcome to Dingwall Lee Erwin.
6ft 2in striker Lee was a product of the Motherwell Youth Academy that has certainly made his mark on the Scottish football scene. Stuart Kettlewell was delighted to get Erwin through the door for the Premiership campaign. He said, “Lee gives us a different dimension and managing to get a player of his quality in is fantastic for the club. Given his experience in the Premiership with Motherwell and Kilmarnock we know he is capable of playing at this level and its about making sure we can get him playing at his best here.”
After signing professional for Motherwell, Erwin moved to Leeds United in 2015 before returning to Kilmarnock in 2017. During those periods Lee also had loan spells with Bury and Oldham Athletic. More recently Erwin made the swift move to Iran before returning looking for a fresh challenge back home in Scotland.
“Lee has seen a lot of the game for such a young player. He has played in the lower leagues in Scotland as well as the Premiership. He has played in the lower leagues in England as well as the Championship. That itself tells you he knows what it takes to work your way to the top and we fully expect him to work his way to his best here and try and compete for a position in the starting eleven.” Said Kettlewell.
