Matchday 2 of the Betfred Cup group stage takes place tomorrow night as we travel to face Brechin City. Following on from Saturdays opening win against Montrose, momentum will carry in to tomorrow night in the hope for another 3 precious points in the group.
There are no fresh injury concerns for Ross County. The weekends news of additional injuries to Nathan Baxter and Michael Gardyne lifts the number missing to 6. However, after a strong pre-season training regime and tough competition for starting positions, it leaves the door open for players to try and stamp down their place in the team.
Brechin were left with a thread bare squad at the weekend due to injury. Manager, and former Staggie, Barry Smith, had to pull on the boots for the first time in 8 years to help his Glebe Park side. Unfortunately the managers heroic return to the field wasn't met with the perfect fairytale ending with Forfar taking a 3-0 win from the match. Brechin, who have faced two successive relegation's from the Scottish Championship to now playing in League 2, are aiming to get their first points on the board in the Betfred cup this season.
Tickets will be available on the gate at Glebe Park.
