Loan Watch was back in action this weekend following all of our loan stars across Scotland as the fourth round of the Scottish Cup got underway.
Ross Munro and his Raith Rovers team mates looked to have upset of the round on the cards as they travelled to Premiership side Livingston. Munro’s Raith took the lead on 22 minutes and it want until 77 minutes the host would equalise. Livi would then go on to score another two goals in the final 12 minutes to knock Raith out of the competition.
Declan McManus and his Falkirk side will have to do it all again after a fourth-round stalemate. The Bairns travelled to Championship side Arbroath but neither side managed to break the resistance and will have to now find a winner in a fourth-round replay in 10 days time.
Tom Kelly & James Wallace both started in another vital Highland League win for Brora Rangers. The Sutherland side overcoming Rothes 1-0 at MacKessack Park to keep them in 1st place in the league after a 4th minute MacRae goal.
Jack Murray started for his Buckie Thistle side as they romped to another victory. The Jags notched a 5-2 win over near neighbours Deveronvale to hand Buckie another valuable 3 points.
Declan Hughes and his Forres Mechanics team mates also claimed a win in the Highland League this weekend. Two first half goals secured the three points against Wick Academy in Caithness. The win sees Forres rise to 33 points from 23 matches.
Gregor MacDonald lost out 2-1 at Nairn with his Keith side. After a Scott Davidson goal in either half for Nairn, the prolific Cammy Keith managed to get one back for the Maroons but they couldn’t find that all important equaliser.
